Supplying Stainless Steel Security Products for New Werribee Police Station
At Britex, we understand the importance of security, durability and strength. We recently worked with the Werribee Police and Architectus to supply a range of heavy-duty, vandal-resistant stainless steel products to be used inside the Werribee Police Station and its holding cells.
As you might guess, these items were specifically chosen for key properties that make them durable and long-lasting even in the most challenging of settings. This project involved working with various stakeholders to select and supply a number of products for the new facility.
About the project
Our work was part of a new $45 million police complex built in Werribee, which spans 6000m2 and is four storeys high. Located at 134 Princes Highway, Werribee Police Station is one of the largest Victoria Police facilities outside of Melbourne, and it replaces the former Werribee Police Station. Completed at the end of 2020, the station houses over 460 staff comprising of uniformed police, transit police, crime investigation, transit and safety officers, and administration staff, among others.
At Britex, we are proud to have played a part in creating the new Werribee Police Station. The station services Melbourne's Western suburbs and emphasises functionality and flexibility in order to support effective contemporary police work in an urban setting. The new station is part of the Wyndham Justice Precinct and will be integrated into the wider local community, where police, court services, health and council services will be aligned.
Vandal resistant and maximum security products for the Werribee Police Complex and holding cells

Britex Stainless Steel Wudu Foot Wash Trough with Stool
This stainless steel Wudu foot wash trough is used during ritual washing in Islam. It's easy to clean and maintain, which means it's conducive to promoting good hygiene in the complex and ensuring minimal spread of germs between users. It's also robust, being manufactured from durable 1.2mm grade 304 stainless steel.
Britex Stainless Steel Cleaner Sink with Splashack Panel
This cleaner's sink with a splashback panel provides a durable and hygienic place to clean all kinds of items, with a large 46L tub that supports the cleaning of even heavy and bulky items.
The splashback panel protects the wall behind the sink and protects the newly built police complex from water damage and impacts.
Britex Custom Stainless Steel Single Bowl Bench
Made from 1.2mm Grade 304 stainless steel with a 2.0mm corrosion-resistant zinc-plated steel substrate, these bowl benches are an effective solution to washing in a confined area, allowing ample space to wash and dry.
This sink is highly durable and vandal resistant, making it an excellent choice for use in holding cells and other locations around the new complex.
