ABOUT

The large fishing town of Hastings, located 75 kilometres south of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, is formed on a crescent shaped bay opening onto Western Port comprising Hastings, Bittern, Crib Point, Tyabb and Somerville. Positioned within the Mornington Peninsula City Council, Hastings features a modern commercial centre with a number of supermarkets and shopping complexes, extending several blocks along High Street right down to the Western Port foreshore. The town’s foreshore consists of large and grassy open spaces, native bushland and mangroves along the water’s edge, as well as the popular Hastings Jetty, where fishing and boating activities are enjoyed year round.
