Melbourne Central Station

As a part of the Connex (Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network operator) plan to rejuvenate several metropolitan train station facilities, Britex supplied numerous fixtures to the refurbishment of the west-end toilet block at Melbourne Central Station. Being a key station in the ‘City Loop’ network, Connex, along with their maintenance contractor Mainco, required products that were not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly vandal resistant and easy to maintain. One key point of reference in selecting the fixtures was the unique trap on the Centinel toilet pan which is designed in a way that not only guarantees more efficient flushing, but is most importantly less prone to blockages. Combined with the urinal’s 5-Star WELS rated Smart SaniFlush Sensor System, the new washroom is now far more water efficient than before.
