Water Saving With BRITEX Products
Here are a few hints and tips that may be useful in utilising BRITEX products to save water in commercial projects:
- The water efficient BRITEX SaniFlush and Smart SaniFlush can be retrofitted to existing urinals (both wall mounted and floor mounted) in place of existing cisterns to conserve water and increase hygiene levels.
- Use sensors to cut down water usage on urinals. With adjustable flow rates our automated flushers can be easily altered to use even less water, whilst still flushing the urinal effectively and maintaining hygiene standards.
- When specifying Stainless Steel toilet pans, consider that our Centurion and Grandeur models have genuine 100mm traps. This means that they flush more efficiently than other imported models, designed for countries that rely on suction when flushing. In turn, our pans require less water to flush out waste and are also more unlikely to become blocked.
- If a washroom is cleaned daily (such as in schools), go for the fully waterless BRITEX Arid urinal instead of the low-flush ‘AutoMist’. The AutoMist is designed for areas of extremely high traffic, and where cleaning regimes are irregular. If cleaned regularly, the fully waterless unit will require no further flushing.
- Use highly WELS rated time flow or electronic taps on hand basins. This will ensure taps are only flowing when hands are actually being washed, and cannot be left on, wasting precious water.
